5 out of 5 stars Frontline for Cats   January 8, 2010
Kay Sloan (California)
I have used this product for years and I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of it at Amazon. I have used Frontline on kittens and on elderly cats without adverse reactions and have been able to eliminate the use of extra chemicals in my home. Flea anemia can happen quickly and require transfusions or fleas can weaken and kill your cat.

5 out of 5 stars Works Great   January 8, 2010

This product works great, no more fleas on my indoor cat. Amazon is definitely the cheapest place I've found to buy this.

3 out of 5 stars Works but not entirely effective   January 4, 2010
Yoda (Hadera, Israel)
I have been using this on my two cats for about 3 months now. My observation is that it does, pretty much, work. However, it is not 100% effective. The cats still have some fleas. In terms of fleas seems about 80-90% effectilve. Plus the product does not really seem to take care of ticks.

1 out of 5 stars Frontline No Longer Works!   December 29, 2009
Randy
We have used Frontline for several years with our cat and had great results until a few months ago. In spite of regular monthly use, we have developed a huge and horrible flea infestation. Fleas jumping on our 8-month old baby. The cat got tape worms from ingesting the fleas... you get the idea, it was nasty.

When I went to the vet to ask what to do, I was informed that they no longer recommend Frontline because it has lost its effectiveness and no longer works in our area (northwest). Apparently fleas become resistant over time.

Based on the huge number of fleas and flea eggs shedding off our cat, I would have to say it has no effect at all. We have switch brands and I will need to throw out the $50 of frontline I just ordered. There should be some sort of consumer notification about this, and frankly, the company should issue a recall.

Hope this saves a few of you from the mess we have gone through.

1 out of 5 stars Stoped working.   December 21, 2009

I've been having major problems with Frontline since this summer (2009), when I first noticed that it was no longer effective and that within 3 days after application there were still fleas on my cats. I've used it for years and have always been very happy with it, and then it seemed that it suddenly stop working. I contacted my vet and was told that they had been receiving other complaints about Frontline failing, and mentioned that there was some concern about possible flea immunity to the product. Regardless of the potential reason, I have found a substantial community online with the same experience that I've had.
